Of course I had to do some tests with the new Cycles render engine, too. I didn't intend to create photorealism, I just wanted to see how my "usual" animations would look like with Cycles.
Those files have been on my computer for some weeks now... Sorry for not posting them earlier. It's just that my time is very limited at moment.
First of all I think I should also mention, that the .blend File of the Energy Generator animation is now also available for download: Link
But now lets get to the Cycles tests: This is what happens, when you try to do my usual particle animations with Cycles (a fluid animation is also included):
Is it just me or is the youtube quality getting worse?
Anyway... You remember the Dispersion Effect I created with Blender? Well, this it what it could look like, when rendered with Cycles (+ more color samples, inculding violet + a higher refraction index):

The last experiment is a short animation loop in Stereo 3D using Blender Cycles and Flash (click on the thumbnail to get to the animation):
You will need red/cyan glasses to see the Stereo 3D effect.
